Students in K-3 have been examining features of non-fiction texts. Photographs, bold words, captions and charts are just a few features we have taken a closer look at. We have even created a mind map to show you what we learned. Come visit the library to see!

Students in 4th and 5th grade have been working on research skills. Specifically, we have been comparing and contrasting different sources (encyclopedia, website, video) and evaluating the validity of the information accessed. Fifth graders are learning to create a works cited page in MLA formatting. You can access the formatting instructions on the important links page.
